Help us fund the next project.
Citizens of Our Planet is funded principally by Chili Piper. Gifts from outside do one thing: they increase how much we can grant to people teaching Nonviolent Communication to educators and students.
Give online
Card and bank payments, one-off or monthly. You will receive an acknowledgement letter for your records.
Other ways to give.
By check, by wire, or through your employer.
By check
Make it payable to Citizens of Our Planet, a Chili Piper Foundation and post it to 1 Dock 72 Way, Brooklyn, New York 11205, United States.
By wire
For larger gifts, write to us and we will send banking details directly. We do not publish account numbers. Request wire details
Donor-advised fund
If you give through a DAF, recommend a grant to Citizens of Our Planet using EIN 87-1179310. Your sponsor will have everything else they need.
Employer matching
Many employers match charitable gifts. Ours is one of them. Give us the name of your matching platform and we will complete whatever verification it asks for.
Where it goes
What your gift funds.
Nonviolence in education
Grants to organizations bringing Nonviolent Communication to teachers, schools and students. Currently France, with Spain and Colombia committed for 2026.
Small grants, chosen carefully
We are a small foundation that funds a small number of projects well. Every grantee is checked for charitable status and reports back on what the money did.
Published in full
Every grant we have ever made is listed on this site, with the amount and the date. Nothing is hidden in a summary.

One thing worth knowing: because we are a private foundation rather than a public charity, the deduction limits on your gift are different from the ones you may be used to. Your tax advisor can tell you what that means in your situation. We are a foundation, not an advisor, so we will not guess on your behalf.
